Dr. Lauren Richman loves being a part of the Farmer’s Korner team! She is a Denver native, growing up in Applewood on the west side of town. Like Dr. Court, Dr. Richman decided she wanted to be a veterinarian at a very young age. Starting as a 5 year old, she attempted to save every injured creature that happened into her back yard, much to her parent’s chagrin.
Dr. Richman graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduation, she completed a 1 year rotating internship in surgery, internal medicine, general practice, and emergency medicine at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. In her professional career, Dr. Richman first spent 3 and 1/2 years working as a full time emergency doctor at a 24-hour emergency and referral center, then 18 months in a general practice before joining FKVH in June of 2014.
In the vast field of veterinary medicine, Dr. Richman has special interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care medicine, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, Dr. Richman is an avid downhill skier and road cyclist, and she is a fledgeling mountain biker. She spends her free time with her husband Patrick, her son and a Labradoodle named Fennel.
